Introduction

We envisioned creating engaging, reflective experiences for students while fostering a level of trust and connection between teachers and learners that has never been achieved before, all through innovative AI-driven design and exceptional user engagement.

As the Senior Product Designer,

I was responsible for shaping the end-to-end design of the MirrorTalk app, enhancing its visual experience, and co-developing a scalable design system with engineering.

Problem

Traditional reflective practices are time-consuming, generic, and disengaging for students, leaving teachers with little actionable feedback to improve learning outcomes. These challenges limit the potential for meaningful growth and adaptation in the classroom.

Hypothesis

We hypothesized that designing an AI-powered reflection flow with a friendly, approachable character and personalized prompts would increase student engagement and task completion rates.

Additionally, we believed that the insights gathered would empower teachers to better support their students’ learning.
